Privacy Policy
Who I am
Silent Partner Co is a trade name of The Closing Suite LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. I am Sheika Luc, the founder. In this policy, “I” and “Silent Partner Co” mean the same thing.
This policy covers silentpartnerco.com, the No Surprises app, and the services I provide, including The Close Read, The Handoff, The Priority Intervention, The Retainer, and the First Step Call.

What I collect
I collect only what I need to deliver what you asked for.

What I do not do
- I do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- I do not use your information, or your child’s, to train or run AI tools. The No Surprises app has no AI features.
- I do not ask for your child’s full name or your child’s school name in the app. A nickname is all that is needed.
- I do not show ads, and I do not share your information with advertisers.
How I use your information
- To give you access to what you bought and keep it working.
- To send you emails you would expect: your receipt, your sign-in link, reminders you turned on in the app, and messages about a call you booked.
- To do the work you hired me for, such as reading a document before The Close Read.
- To send you occasional notes from Silent Partner Co, if you asked for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To meet legal and tax requirements.
Who I share it with
I share information only with the companies that help me run the site, the app, and my services. Each one receives only what it needs, through its own secure connection.

Video calls are usually held on Google Meet, and occasionally on Zoom. The video service receives your name and email address through the meeting invitation. If you choose a phone call instead, I call the number you gave when you booked.
I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of my clients, the public, or Silent Partner Co.
If Silent Partner Co is ever sold or merged, your information would pass to the new owner under the terms of this policy, and I would tell you first.
How I protect it
- The site and the app use encrypted connections, so information is protected as it travels between your device and the servers.
- The app is built so that each family can see only its own information. A voice memo can be played only by the adult who recorded it.
- You sign in with a link sent to your email. The app does not store a password for you.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your full card number never reaches me.
- I am the only person at Silent Partner Co with access to client information.
Email is a convenient way to send me a document, and it is less secure than the app. If you would like another way to share a document, tell me and I will arrange one.
No method of storing or sending information is completely secure. If I learn of a breach that affects your information, I will tell you promptly.
How long I keep it

Your choices
You can ask me at any time to:
- show you the information I hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it, or
- send you a copy of what you saved in the app.
Write to sheika.luc@silentpartnerco.com. I will respond within 30 days.
You can also cancel your yearly renewal from the app under “Manage billing,” turn off reminder emails in the app, and unsubscribe from occasional notes using the link in any of those emails.
Depending on where you live, the law may give you additional rights over your information. I will honor them.
Children’s information
The site and the app are for adults. They are not meant for children, and I do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 18.
A parent or guardian may choose to enter information about their own child in the app, such as a nickname, a grade, and notes, or to send me a child’s school document. That information is used only to serve that family, as described in this policy.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change affects how I use information you already gave me, I will email you before it takes effect.
